The art of Mediterranean cuisine

Are you ready to indulge in Tossa de Mar's delicious seaside cookery?

Many of Tossa de Mar's restaurants offer to savour over 30 traditional "mar-i-muntanya" (sea and mountain) recipes that have been kept up for centuries. Fishermen's and charcoal burners' typical recipes, simple yet mouthwatering, have contributed to the art of the Mediterranean cuisine.

Many are more or less familiar with Tossa de Mar's most typical course, "cim i tomba", a recipe that old times' fishermen would cook just on board, while they were fishing in the open sea, with vegetables and fish. Nowadays, it's our seaside village's cuisine star, and those who taste it go through a unique gastronomy experience in Costa Brava.

Codfish, noodle casserole and other Tossa's traditional recipes can be found at different food festivals that take place throughout the year in Tossa de Mar's restaurants. Whenever you visit us, you'll always enjoy some lovely Mediterranean food with a traditional touch.
